LexisNexis Risk Solutions has launched an AI fraud detection tool that automatically adapts to changing fraud patterns.
Emailage Adaptive continuously learns from an organisation’s transaction data, confirmed fraud cases and industry trends without requiring manual model calibration.
The system analyses signals including email addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers and physical addresses to generate fraud risk scores.
It can be used for account opening, account management and payments.
In testing cited by LexisNexis Risk Solutions, the technology identified around 90% of fraud among the highest-risk transactions while reducing false positives by more than 80%.
Dell Technologies is among the companies using Emailage Adaptive.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions reported that Dell doubled its fraud capture rate among high-risk transactions and reduced manual reviews of low-risk transactions by 83%.
Emailage Adaptive also provides reason codes showing which factors influenced its risk scores.
The system is also designed to support explainability, data privacy and bias mitigation.
Kimberly Sutherland
“As generative AI scales, fraud attacks are now happening at a faster rate than most manual prevention strategies can keep pace with, overwhelming systems and exposing businesses to ever greater risk.
By continuously learning from fraud outcomes, backed by cross industry risk intelligence, a self-calibrating fraud model can adjust instantly to subtle changes in fraud patterns, removing the lag between when patterns emerge and when defenses calibrate. This allows fraud teams to continually enhance predictive accuracy while reducing manual workload.”
said Kimberly Sutherland, Global Head of Fraud and Identity at LexisNexis Risk Solutions.
