    Christopher Waller has pushed back on Kevin Warsh’s sports officiating analogy and said he would support a rate hold at the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) September meeting if new data justified it.

    The governor told Reuters on September 3 that he preferred to not let “perfection become the enemy of the good” when explaining how the committee might set the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy.
