    Policy-makers are increasingly operating in a “grey zone” with an unclear direction of travel, and communication must evolve to capture these nuances, senior central bank economists have argued at the International Monetary Fund’s Spring Meetings.

    At a panel at the event in Washington on April 16, participants discussed how monetary policy frameworks should react to structural trends in the global economy, including changes in demographics, climate, technology and geopolitics.
