Economics Is The Least Socioeconomically Numerous Of All Main PhD Fields

Amongst US-born PhDs, Economics is much less socioeconomically various than *all* the most important PhD fields, together with math, pc science, bodily and organic sciences, and different social sciences.
We have been evaluating to the inhabitants of PhDs. However it’s even starker when evaluating to the final inhabitants. With so little range of socioeconomic background, what are we lacking after we examine subjects like inequality, poverty, unemployment, entry to alternative?
