Check out some of the companies making the biggest moves midday: Accenture — The global professional services company’s stock soared 18% following fiscal fourth-quarter results. Revenue of $18.7 billion exceeded the company’s guidance of $17.8 billion to $18.4 billion, and FactSet’s consensus estimate of $18.3 billion. Earnings of $3.29 per share also topped expectations. McCormick — The spice company’s third-quarter results beat expectations. McCormick’s adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share exceeded the 76 cents expected from analysts polled by FactSet. Revenue totaled $2.02 billion, versus the $1.98 billion average estimate. McCormick’s stock fell more than 2%. The company is in the midst of combining with Unilever ‘s foods business in a deal scheduled to close by mid-2027. McKesson — The healthcare services provider reaffirmed fiscal 2027 earnings-per-share guidance , sending its shares 4% higher. Fiscal second-quarter results are due to be reported Nov. 4. McKesson also extended a partnership with CVS Health to distribute pharmaceuticals to mail order, specialty and retail pharmacies, and distribution centers through June 2032. United Therapeutics , Liquidia – A Delaware federal court on Wednesday ruled that Liquidia’s lung treatment infringed a patent held by United Therapeutics. Following the decision, BTIG upgraded United Therapeutics to buy, saying “a large legal win likely clears a path to resumed growth through 2027,” and downgraded Liquidia to neutral. “We view this ruling as a negative outcome for Liquidia, as its ability to market Yutrepia is expected to be restricted.” Shares of United Therapeutics jumped 6%, while shares of Liquidia tumbled 15%. Constellation Energy — Shares climbed nearly 3% following the energy company’s announcement of a 20-year deal with Amazon that supports generating capacity expansion at a Maryland nuclear power plant. Synopsys — Shares jumped more than 8% following an investor day, which outlined the software company’s growth strategy and long-term targets. Synopsys expects 2027 year-over-year revenue growth of 15%, to $11.1 billion-$11.2 billion, versus the $10.82 billion expected from analysts, according to FactSet. Synopsys also announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI. Sigma Lithium — The Brazilian lithium producer, which trades on Nasdaq, saw shares slide 16%. Sigma temporarily suspended all mining and industrial production Wednesday after a 15-day delay by the Federal Court of Appeals in Brazil in reviewing the company’s legal defense related to a lawsuit filed by a nongovernmental organization. Acuity Brands — Shares of the maker of lighting and building management equipment dropped nearly 4%. Forward guidance for low- to mid-teens net sales growth at Acuity Intelligent Spaces was a bit below the Wall Street consensus, StreetAccount said. BJ’s Restaurants – The restaurant chain’s stock jumped about 5%. Mizuho upgraded BJ’s Restaurants to outperform and raised its target price by $2, to $76 per share. “Based on our strong checks, we increase our Q3 [same-store sales] growth estimate to 5.5% from 4.6%, above consensus of 4.3%,” Mizuho said, adding it expects higher revisions through 2027. Vicor — Shares surged almost 10% after the company raised its third-quarter revenue growth guidance to more than 30% from previous guidance of at least 20%. Vicor raised the forecast due to increased royalties from its previously announced first nonexclusive license to Vertical Power Delivery. Corteva — Corteva announced Thursday the formal spinoff of its Vylor seed and genetics business, leaving Corteva a pure-play global crop protection company. The separation came after an appeals court denied the state of California a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction seeking to delay the spin.
