(RTTNews) – Azenta, Inc. (AZTA), a provider of life sciences solutions said on Monday that board member Martin Madaus has been appointed as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of John Marotta as an Executive Officer and Director.
Madaus, a senior operating executive at Carlyle Group Inc. (CG), has previously led Millipore Corporation, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and Roche Diagnostics North America. He joined Azenta’s board in 2024.
The company said a search for a permanent CEO is underway with Heidrick & Struggles.
Azenta reaffirmed its fourth-quarter total revenue guidance, but noted adjusted EBITDA will be impacted by a one-time $3 million consulting expense. Excluding the charge, adjusted EBITDA guidance would also be reaffirmed.
In pre-market activity on the Nasdaq, shares of Azenta were down 5.35 percent, changing hands at $35.40, after closing Friday’s regular session 2.44 percent higher.
