    The central banks of Kenya, Mauritius, Namibia and Uganda all held their key interest rates this week, in line with market expectations.

    Kenya: The Central Bank of Kenya maintained the bank rate at 8.75% on August 11, its third consecutive hold.

    The bank described inflation as “broadly stable” in July, at 6.5%, marking a small increase from 6.4% in June but remaining within the bank’s 5% ±2.5 percentage points target range. It added that inflation is expected to remain within the target range in
