The Hugh and Maxine Loudon Business Park in Clarinda, a 61-acre city-owned site along U.S. Highway 71 and Iowa Highway 2 bypass, has earned an Iowa Certified Site designation from the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). This designation signals the completion of environmental and infrastructure assessments and other due diligence to reduce risk and shorten timelines for development. Located in Page County in southwest Iowa, the park has benefited from prior investments in roads, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and site access. The certification, supported by the Iowa Rural Certified Site Initiative and overseen by Quest Site Solutions, aims to attract investment and jobs by confirming site readiness to prospective developers. The designation was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony and a dedication of the site in honor of the Loudon family’s land donation.
