Every investor dreams of spotting a stock capable of multiplying in value over just a few years. In this article, I want to revisit the reasoning that led me to buy Carvana (NYSE:) shares in 2022—an investment that returned 1000%—and explain why I believe Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ:) is now a company worth watching closely for its growth potential.

    What Is Eightco Holdings (ORBS)

Eightco Holdings is a U.S. holding company, meaning a parent company that owns stakes in other businesses or strategic assets. A holding company does not necessarily produce goods or services directly; its main role is to control, coordinate, and enhance the value of the assets in its portfolio.

In my view, analyzing the composition of this holding company reveals why ORBS could be a particularly interesting stock: its value appears to depend largely on exposure to two themes that may play a central role in the years ahead—artificial intelligence and digital identity.

More specifically, the thesis focuses on two exposures that are viewed as strategic: OpenAI and Worldcoin.

The Two Key Exposures Behind the Thesis

The first area of interest is OpenAI, a private company and one of the best-known research labs in the field of artificial intelligence. Founded in 2015 in San Francisco, it became globally famous thanks to products such as ChatGPT, which can generate text, assist with code writing, and support natural-language conversations.

Why OpenAI Matters At present, OpenAI has not publicly confirmed a formal timeline for a future IPO. Recent public reporting suggests that the company remains private, even as market expectations around a potential listing continue to grow.

An IPO, or Initial Public Offering, is the process through which a private company offers its shares on the stock market for the first time.

For investors seeking indirect exposure to this space, ORBS is presented as one possible stock to monitor.

From this perspective, the bullish thesis on ORBS is based on the idea that any increase in market attention toward OpenAI could also spill over to companies perceived as vehicles for indirect exposure.

As a result, if investor interest in OpenAI continues to rise, ORBS could also benefit in terms of visibility and perceived revaluation.

Within this framework, a future OpenAI IPO—if and when it takes place—could potentially act as a strong catalyst for ORBS shares.

The Role of Worldcoin in the Investment Case

Beyond its OpenAI exposure, the company has also reported meaningful positions in Worldcoin, , and cash or stablecoins. In recent updates, Eightco indicated holdings of more than 283 million tokens, about 11,068 ETH, and roughly $129 million in cash and stablecoins, for a total asset value of around $340 million.

This exposure makes Worldcoin one of the central pillars of the ORBS thesis.

The second major component of the argument therefore revolves around Worldcoin, a project that, under this view, could contribute significantly to the growth of ORBS’s perceived value.

Worldcoin, now more broadly known as part of the World ecosystem, is not just a token. It is a project that combines digital identity, technological infrastructure, and tools designed to verify the uniqueness of a human online.

The core idea behind the project is to address a problem that is likely to become increasingly important: distinguishing real humans from content, accounts, and agents generated by artificial intelligence.

Despite the controversies surrounding the project, World has attracted significant attention because it proposes a verification system based on biometric data and on a digital identity known as World ID.

Sam Altman is also associated with the project, and his role in OpenAI further reinforces market interest around the broader ecosystem.

According to this thesis, Worldcoin’s strategic value does not depend solely on the token’s price performance, but above all on the possible future utility of a system capable of certifying online that a real person stands behind an account or a piece of content.

In a context where generative AI is making it increasingly difficult to distinguish human activity from artificial activity, World aims to provide proof of human identity through a digital credential called World ID.

Verification takes place through a device called the Orb, which captures the data needed to confirm a user’s uniqueness and then allows that verification to be linked to a digital identity that can be used online.

In summary, the ORBS thesis is based on the idea that the company offers exposure to two themes considered especially powerful: artificial intelligence through OpenAI, and digital identity through Worldcoin. If both themes continue to gain traction in the market, as I believe they could, ORBS may benefit from a substantial revaluation, potentially rising from current levels to $9 per share, implying upside of around 1000%.
