Plans for a bus-rapid-transport (BRT) line between Rehovot, Ness Ziona and Rishon Lezion have been unveiled by the Netivei Ayalon transport infrastructures firm. The 21 kilometer service alongside the busy Highway 412, at the moment being deliberate, is scheduled to start operations in 2027 and shall be just like the Metronit BRT service in Haifa.
As a part of the plan, a one kilometer stretch of the primary avenue in Rehovot (Herzl Road) and a 600 meter part of the primary avenue in Ness Ziona (Weizmann Road) shall be closed to vehicles and accessible solely to public transport, bicycles and scooters, and pedestrians. Different bus routes shall be allowed alongside some elements of those roads.

The Rehovot-Ness Ziona-Rishon Lezion BRT electrical bus service, initially deliberate because the Tel Aviv Metropolitan space mild rail Blue Line, could have 44 stops and is designed to hold 77,000 passengers per day and 55 million passengers yearly.
