Downtown Music Holdings has appointed David Ok. Dormon as Common Counsel.
Dormon returns to Downtown after exiting his place as Vice President, Authorized and Enterprise Affairs final fall to hitch the worldwide legislation agency Reed Smith LLP.
He replaces present Common Counsel Peter Rosenthal who’s planning to depart the corporate to pursue one other alternative.
Dormon first joined Downtown Music Holdings in 2018 as Authorized Counsel and Director of Acquisitions and shortly rose to Vice President, Authorized and Enterprise affairs.
He performed a key position within the sale of Downtown’s copyrights to Harmony, and its acquisition of B2B tech and companies firm FUGA in 2020.
Dormon additionally performed a job int he agency’s acquisition of the catalog of the Belgium-based writer Strictly Confidential in 2019.
Previous to becoming a member of Downtown, Dormon served on the legislation companies of Vedder Value and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago.
He’s a graduate of Tufts College and earned his J.D. at College of Chicago Legislation College.
