Rebecca Stavick
The Wallace Centers of Iowa has appointed Rebecca Stavick as its new executive director, effective immediately. The Wallace Centers oversees the Wallace Farm in rural Orient and the Wallace House in Des Moines programs connecting Iowans to sustainable agriculture, local food, and the legacy of the Wallace family. Stavick has more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership, previously founding and leading Do Space, the nation’s first community technology library in Omaha, where membership surpassed 98,000 by 2025. In her new role, Stavick will oversee operations and staff across both Wallace Center properties. “The board of directors conducted an extensive search for our new executive director. From a deep set of candidates, Rebecca emerged as an extraordinary choice to lead Wallace Centers of Iowa to new levels of growth and impact,” Jim Hoyt, WCI board chair, said in a prepared statement.
