Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences will host a free public open house from 3 to 6 p.m. March 5 for its new Regional Simulation Center. The facility, funded in part by a multimillion dollar investment from the Polk County Board of Supervisors, aims to advance health care education, training and workforce development across Central Iowa. The simulation center offers innovative simulation technology for and a hands-on training environment for the region’s health care programs. Other partners include Des Moines Area Community College, Des Moines Public Schools, and Mercy College of Health Sciences. The open house will be held in Ryan Hall in the DMU32 Health and Business Complex, 3200 Grand Ave., Des Moines.
