Amid weak international cues, the Indian market prolonged dropping streak for the third day in a row on Tuesday. Benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex closed decrease by 0.38% and 0.19% respectively as the previous slipped beneath 16, 300 and the latter dropped round 100 factors. The 2 indices ended at 16,240.05 and 54,364.85 respectively.
Within the broader market, Nifty midcap and small cap indices declined between 2-2.5% as India VIX went previous 22-mark.
Although banking, monetary and FMCG shares noticed some shopping for curiosity in a falling market, metallic declined by a whooping over 5% on Tuesday. Realty, Shopper Sturdy, vitality and Pharma shares have been different prime laggards.
