Jhared ‘Jae’ Brown has been named Vice President, A&R, at Island Information.
Primarily based in New York, Brown will report collectively to Imran Majid and Justin Eshak, Co-CEOs of Island Information, who took on the roles in June 2021.
Brown will probably be a ‘key participant” within the label’s future, it says.
Brown involves Island after two years at indie label Rostrum Information, the place he was Vice President of A&R.
At Rostrum, he labored on the rollout of multi-platinum artist Wealthy the Child, who Brown signed, and developed a roster of artists that included Taleban Dooda, and DC the Don.
Brown started his music profession in 2015, and spent three years in a twin Product Supervisor/A&R function at Interscope Information, a division of UMG.
He labored on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning album, DAMN, in addition to early career-making tasks with Wealthy the Child, Black Panther, RAE SREMMURD, and Mike Will Made-It.
In 2018, Brown moved to Capitol Information/Motown, a division of UMG, serving for 2 years in a twin A&R/International Advertising and marketing function, working intently with Matt Ox, TM88, and BJ The Chicago Child, whose 1123 album generated two Grammy Award nominations in 2019.
